How I photograph on stage

Your band needs new pictures. The next tour poster has to go to print and you still don’t have the shots for autograph cards. I cover your next gig and put together the artwork for the next run, the way you want it.

Live frames from the gig, promo sessions in the rehearsal room, material for posters and signed cards. I stay out of your set — I just find the moment when you stop noticing the stage as a stage.

I work as a live music and band photographer out of Schwerin, from the small club to the Schlossfestspiele, and when a tour calls for it, right across Germany and over to Denmark. Stage light keeps changing and cares nothing for the photographer. That is exactly where I start, instead of fighting it.
