From Schwerin. For the moment.
My name is Lea and I work from Schwerin, anywhere in Germany. What I'm after isn't a clean setup — it's the moment a picture matches the way the thing actually felt. I try to keep that feeling intact, so the moment stays. My studio is small and independent — I work on my own, I answer every message myself, and I decide what I take on.
The moment before the pose.
Four kinds of work run through everything I do: animals, couples, stage, little ones. They look different from the outside, but they share the same centre — the second a living thing stops performing. A cat that doesn’t know a camera is there. Two people who forget anyone else is there, because they’re laughing. A musician who stops noticing the stage as a stage. A newborn that grips a finger in its sleep. That’s where photography begins for me.
